2007 Tidewater Traverse Mandatory Gear List:Individual team members must have the following at all times while racing:
1. Compass
2. Rain Coat (poncho NOT sufficient)
3. Wool or synthetic cap
4. Whistle
5. Emergency Blanket
6. Headlamp
7. Spare Headlamp Batteries
8. Reflective tape: 6″ in length to be worn on pack.
9. One 12 hour illumination stickAll individual team members must also have the following during biking legs:
1. Mountain bike (road bikes not permitted)
2. Bike helmet
3. Front mounted bike light (white)
4. Rear mounted bike light (red)
5. Reflective tape (to be worn on Helmet)All individual team members must also have the following during paddling legs:
1. PFD’s (Coast Guard approved type 3 minimum, non-inflatable)

All teams must carry the following at all times while racing:
1. Cell Phone (Water Proofed – Double Bagged ZipLock OK)
2. First Aid Kit (minimum contents listed below)
3. Pen or pencil
4. Two Emergency Flares

All teams must also carry the following during biking legs:
1. Bike repair kit (such as patch kit, tire levers, extra tubes)
2. Tire pump or CO2 inflator

All teams must also carry the following during paddling legs:
1. Bailer or bilge pump
2. Throw bag (30′ or longer)
3. One GREEN illumination stick fixed to the bow (front) of each boat
4. One RED illumination stick fixed to the stern (rear) of each boat

**GPS devices are not permitted***

First Aid Kit Minimum Contents

1. antibacterial ointment
2. 3” ace bandage
3. 3 doses of anti-inflammatory (ibuprofen, etc)
4. tweezers
5. sunscreen
